Self-portraiture work created to communicate my experiences with depression and anxiety.

Images captured using a Kodak Box Brownie No2 (medium format), developed, scanned and printed on fine art textured paper; with the self reflective poetry inscribed post print.
My Everest is often two feet from my bed
A summit to which I submit
Climb to the sofa, to safety, my retreat
another peak

Retreat from social,
media as artists escape
Get lost, dwell within, let me be
The greatest sin

No one asked to be born
balled eyes and clenched fists,
words echo across lips
To have never been born

Worse than nothing
Reach for abyss
Cast off castaway
Shores of pure silence.
